The intake area maps
for consultation, for each government primary school or school that has primary school grades (for example, combined/district schools), are an initial starting point to initiate community feedback.
The intake area review
will not change the way schools enrol students who
live outside their intake area, or where primary school students can attend high school. Any changes to intake areas will not affect
students who have enrolled before 2021, or their siblings.
Parents will still be
able to apply to their school of choice, if capacity allows.
Feedback on the maps was
provided during the initial consultation period ending in October 2018. A second round of consultation process is now underway and will close on the 27 September 2019.
For more information
about the review, see School
Intake Area Maps on the DoE website.
